Lieutenant Colonel Md. Imran Azad SGP, SUP, G (Retired) served Bangladesh Army and the Nation with fullest satisfaction of his own. In his long 33 years of Military Career, the officer exerted diversify professionalism at every stance where he was debuted.
Born in the Corps of Artillery, Lt Col Imran (Retired) attended all the compulsory courses offered by Bangladesh Army. These includes Artillery Officer’s Basic Course, Target Acquisition Survey-Locating, Junior Officer’s admin, Unit Command and Staff Course. Weaponry system existed in the Army and contemporary neighborhoods and Basic Commando Course strengthened his knowledge on the subject. Individual Officer proved his competence to get through the opportunity for the highest-level course dreamed by any Gunner Officer. He was decorated with prestigious Symbol ”G”.
Beside the mandatory courses, he had been nominated for few specific specialized courses that included Intelligence Course at home and abroad.
Courses and career rolls like a metro-train line. The young Officer served the then Hilly Region for a quite suitable period of time before taking over the responsibilities of independent command as intelligence operative within the Military Intelligence arena. Sharp physical and mental endurance opened his door to first foreign course at Thailand. Officer completed his VVIP Protection Course in 2001-2002 at Special Warfare Centre of the Royal Thai Army. He addressed the physical security issues pertaining to the Senior Leadership of the Army and as well as foreign Senior Visiting Delegates to Bangladesh.
One of the most prestigious appointments where some Service officers get a rare opportunity to the exposures of the entire complex experiences of the well-being of his under-command personnel. Yes, the appointment of “Senior Record Officer” provided him a platform for real-time experience of recruitment, posting, promotion, foreign mission selection, retirement procedures, well fare opportunities for retired and deceased soldiers in single-handed decision-making provision.
Out of the BOX, which he nourished throughout his career, stepped into civil-military office relationships with the Bangladesh Postal Services during this journey. His idea was implemented between the two organizations. The Project achieved Prime Minister’s Gold Medel at National Level. Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired) was awarded with Sena Utkorshota Padak (SUP) for innovation, planning and implementation of Electronic Money (foreign remittance) Transfer System for the Bangladeshi Soldiers serving with the United Nation.
Individual Officer was nominated by Military Secretariat Branch at Army Headquarters for “International Training and Analysis Course” at United Kingdom for a duration of One and half a month. This enhanced his experience and abilities to work as higher-ranking Intelligence Professionals. He delivered his skills as instructor, analytically making raw data into Intelligence values. Officer’s knowledge on the subject helped him to seat and drive in Intelligence outfit for a period of almost Fifteen years and serving his organization as well as the Nation with Outstanding Honesty and Sincerity. Hence-forth Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired) was honored by the Government Of Bangladesh with distinction and awarded Sena Gourob Padak (SGP) for the second of such kind.
Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired) served United Nation twice. Officer worked with United Nation Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea (UNMEE) as a Major. Working under multinational senior officers, was a challenging one. True professionalism, hard work as Senior Operations Officer, earned the confidence of the Force Commander of UNMEE. Force Commander decorated the with Force Commanders Commendation and Medal in year 2006. Furthermore, the officer was nominated as Military Observer at Ivory Coast with UN. After the regular season for about six months with multinational officials at Observer Team Site, he was nominated to work as Operations and Intelligence Staff at Observer Headquarters. Workable Proficiency with French language, as Franko-phone allowed him discharging his responsibilities meticulously.
PROYASH Chattogram, the facility’s dealing with the disable children of the society and run by Bangladesh Army was the last working environment for Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired). As Head of the Institution, the graphical progress of the services rendered to the Children and faculty members added the final costliest feathers in his Military Career.
Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired) is currently working as Nominated Director of LUB-RREF Bangladesh Ltd, Chattogram and as Advisor to the MD of its sister concern “Companigong Agro Limited” (located at Chaprashirhat, Comapnygonj, Noakhali).
Lieutenant Colonel Imran (Retired) also developed his own Agricultural Farm at Nalua under Kabirhat of Noakhali. POUSH KRISHI PORIBAR now growing as an unique entity.

Sadique Salim is one of the well-known resources in the field of Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Innovation, Gamification and Business Excellence in the South Asia. He is known for transforming organizations with little or limited resources. Sadique is one of the first Design Thinking, Six Sigma and Project Management experts in his home country. He has been practicing Six Sigma in his work and as a consultant for the last 16 years and helped set it up for many organizations. He has featured frequently as a guest speaker in ACCA Asia programs, IEOM conferences, universities, seminars where he talks about Design Thinking, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, Business Transformation and Data Science. Sadique is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black from Six Sigma Management Institute. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional from Project Management International, USA. He also received certification on Design Thinking from AHO (The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, Norway) and Designing Better Services from Telenor Academy- Pebble Road (Thailand). He is also an Airbus Certified Level 2 APQP trainer. Since 2014. Sadique has guided over 50+ organizations, both manufacturing and services across ten countries in their Organizational Excellence journey, Design Thinking implementation, TQM and Six Sigma implementation and known for his avid skills in successful Business Transformation and Change Management. He is also a frequent pro bono consultant for local start-ups and plays an active role in raising funds and investments for them. He received Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from IBA, Dhaka University and MBA from North South University, Bangladesh.
Sadique Salim has served as International Speaker and panelist in UK, Mexico and Zambia. He has served on the International Panels of judges regarding Operational Excellence Programs. Apart from Bangladesh, he has conducted Trainings in Thailand, Malaysia and China. He has conducted virtual global training from aspirants from 30 countries. His gamification events have been attended by participants from 20+ countries.

Ishrak Zaman
Ishrak Zaman is an undergraduate student at Dickinson College, PA, USA, which is one of the top undergraduate institutions in the US and the first university established in the newly formed United States in 1783. He is doing a double major in Quantitative Economics and Data Analytics with a minor in Applied Mathematics. Prior to that, he graduated from the Science Group of Notre Dame College, Dhaka, which is one of the most renowned high schools in Bangladesh.
He had been very active in a number of leadership roles and extracurriculars during his high school days including playing competitive cricket, chairing multiple clubs and being the Deputy District Interact Representative of Interact Clubs in Bangladesh, which helped him secure a coveted near full-ride scholarship in the US. He went through the US College Admissions process firsthand and navigated through the extracurricular landscape of Bangladesh and is well aware of the opportunities and network of Bangladeshi undergraduate students in the top US universities.
Furthermore, he interned for corporate and investment banks both in Bangladesh and the US and is well versed on the internship recruiting processes and career counseling aspect as well for careers in Finance. He is also serving in multiple leadership roles on campus and beyond and can help students navigate the challenges of successfully navigating the academic, professional career and extracurricular landscape. In his free time, Ishrak loves to cook Bangladeshi food and engage in deep conversations about politics, economy and religion.

Kaisar R. Khan
Kaisar R. Khan is a seasoned professional engineer having intensive experience in power and energy sector. His experience is well diverse ranging from theoretical research and academic teaching to professional engineering practices in intensive industry setting. In the past he worked in several state-owned engineering organizations in Bangladesh and now for over two decades he is working in the power and energy industries in North America.
Dr. Kaisar Khan received his bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering (EEE) from BIT Rajshahi (currently Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology). He also attended Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for his Master’s degree in EEE. Before moving to USA for graduate study, he worked in two government organizations REB and later on BTTB (through 17th BCS exam) in Bangladesh as an engineer. Kaisar Khan got the Ph.D. degree from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, USA, in 2008. He then went on to join the University of Ottawa as a Postdoctoral Fellow. From 2012-2018 he worked as an electrical engineering faculty at state university of New York (SUNY) Canton and McNeese state University in Louisiana, USA. During his academic tenure, Dr. Khan was involved in several industry funded multidisciplinary research projects on Smart micro-grid design, power-system planning for sustainable development and high-speed electrical machine design. He is a prolific researcher published more than 40 highly impact journal articles.
Recently for last six years, he moved back from academic research to work as a professional engineer in the power and energy industry. He worked in several electric utility companies in USA as senior/lead Engineer also as independent contractor. In his different roles, he worked on projects to upgrade the electric distribution system by integrating distributed generation in the network, implementing distribution automation and smart grid technology, developing EV charging infrastructures, active volt-var management of the distribution networks using advance DERS technology etc.
Dr. Kaisar Khan has an extensive experience on microgrid technology. In 2016-18 while working in academic, he led the initiative building a campus microgrid using ABB controller technology for research and training. As part of the generation along with solar energy, they used natural gas-based CHP microturbine from Capstone Inc. This activity creates multiple research projects funding and publications. In a more intensive industrial setting, Dr. Khan lead the construction, commissioning and operational activities of a state-of-the-art Microgrid test and validation Laboratory of Schneider Electric (SE) R&D facility in Massachusetts. The fully functional laboratory is conducting operational testing, customer demonstration, system level acceptance testing of SE’s energy control center for individual medium to large scale microgrid as well as virtual power plant (VPP).
Dr. Khan is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in multiple states of USA: Texas, NY and Massachusetts and eligible for any state. His professional practice mostly focuses on designing solar and other renewable energy generation plant, EV charging infrastructure development, building energy system, microgrid etc. He also has the Peng. License in the province of Ontario, Canada.
